The anniversary is marked every year, among other things by laying wreaths at the plaque by the gate of the Cegielski works and at the Poznań June 1956 Monument on pl. Mickiewicza.

St Martin Street Name Day (Imieniny Ulicy Święty Marcin)
Every year on 11 November
ul. Święty Marcin, by the Zamek Culture Centre
The city's biggest celebration, held since 1994 and organised by the Zamek Culture Centre. It lasts from late morning until evening: a fair of St Martin's croissants, concerts, performances and attractions for families. The Mayor of Poznań hands the keys to the city to St Martin.
In 2025 there was no parade in its old form: a fenced “name-day town” with four gates and entry checks was set up on the street, admission was free, and suitcases, large bags and backpacks were left in a free cloakroom at the gate.
In 2026 the St Martin's Fair will be held on 11 November in front of the Zamek Culture Centre from 11:00 to 21:00, in two zones: a trading zone with cabins on Aleje Niepodległości and a crafts zone with tents on ul. Święty Marcin, by the post office. It will take place in a mass-event area, so regulations on the safety of mass events apply there. We could not confirm the full programme and entry rules for 2026 (as of 10 October 2026), so check the organiser's website.
