Monuments and fountains
The fountain in Wilson Park stands in the central part of the park, between the concert shell, the sculpture “Perseus and Andromeda” and the Palm House.
It was built in 1929 and switched on during the General National Exhibition (PeWuKa), which showed the achievements of reborn Poland. It was designed by the architect Roger Sławski.
The fountain has the shape of an eight-armed star, and water spurts from its centre. In the evening it is lit with coloured lights.
