Chopin Park

Chopin Park lies on ul. Podgórna, behind the former Jesuit College, right next to the Old Market Square. It covers 1.8 hectares.

History

At the beginning of the 18th century the Jesuits laid out a garden here, which also served as a botanical garden for nature lessons.

From 1815 the garden belonged to the residence of the governor Antoni Radziwiłł, who turned it into a park. In 1961 the park was opened to the public and named after Chopin.
