Śródka and the 3D Mural

Śródka is a district on the east side of the Cybina, opposite Ostrów Tumski. Its best-known sight is the three-dimensional mural “A Śródka Tale with a Trumpeter on the Roof and a Cat in the Background”.

About the mural

The mural was unveiled on 1 October 2015. The concept was prepared by Radosław Barek, and the idea came from the neighbourhood councillor Gerard Cofta.

The painting is based on photographs of Śródka from the 1920s and covers a wall of a townhouse on the Śródka Market Square (Rynek Śródecki).

Good to know

Śródka is easy to combine with a visit to the Gate of Poznań and Ostrów Tumski. All three places are close to one another.
