The Old Zoo was founded in 1871 and is the second-oldest zoological garden in Poland. Since 2009 it has operated as a free park with smaller animals.
The Cold-Blooded Animals Pavilion from 2012, with reptiles, amphibians and fish, including Komodo dragons.
A historic grotto from 1906, a primate house from 1927 and aviaries for wading birds.
The Zoo History Museum in the former lion house, opened in 2022, also free.
The zoo covers 5.24 hectares in Jeżyce, not far from Poznań Główny station. It is a good place for a short walk with children.
