Okrąglak

The Okrąglak department store, designed by Prof. Marek Leykam, is a symbol of Poznań modernism. It was opened on 29 January 1954 at the corner of ul. 27 Grudnia and ul. Mielżyńskiego, on the site of the pre-war Sugar Industry Bank.

What to see

A cylinder-shaped building, recognisable from afar.

Inside, the centre of the building is taken by a cylindrical space open to the full height, with three flights of winding stairs leading to every floor.

Good to know

Right next to it are the MoJA Jewellery Museum and the Teatr Polski.
